“Noctiluca” it comes from the latin “shine by light”.
In many myths and rituals, the moon becomes the universal image of the eternal Goddess, who not only governs the tides of the sea, but also the tides of the womb. The different faces of the moon represents the imperturbable duality between light and darkness. The moon is the lonely queen of the night, shining on a dark landscape of an eternal city.
In “Noctiluca” the movements are minimal, characterised by the stillness of the night, where the obscurity has the beauty of the emptiness but also the sinister side of the unknown.
